** From all the photos taken on the election day, The New York Times and NY Daily News decided to choose these ones, I wonder why?
** I was so worried about my parents on the election day, so I phoned them. I talked to my father and asked him if everything was ok. My father said: ‘It was just mortar attacks and a couple of rockets, its nothing. I did not care anyway, I went to vote’!
It’s really worrying how Iraqis do not perceive the danger anymore. Ordinary people have become so desensitized to the extent that ‘a couple of rockets’ is not alarming any longer.
